DECORATION DAYS
WEDNESDAY 9TH APRIL TO FRIDAY MORNING 11TH APRIL 2025
Always wanted to see how a float is decorated? Decoration takes place over three days in a large local hall where you can see hundreds of volunteers decorating the floats with fragrant, colourful, spring bulb flowers including hyacinths, daffodils and tulips.
The flowers are pinned to the floats via a special technique called 'staking'. If you are lucky you may get the opportunity to try for yourself. How exciting to actually see your own handiwork passing by on the parade.

CATERING, MUSIC AND DUTCH DELIGHTS
During the Decoration Days the hall is a hive of activity. In the coffee corner you can enjoy coffee/tea and cakes or a drink and snack while the decorators are busy at work. There is also an open stage where local singers, choirs and bands perform for the decorators and the public. All this takes place in and around a modern flower bulb company encirled by the fragrance and beauty of spring bulb flowers.
LIVE STAGE
During the construction days there is a live stage where you can enjoy a variety of spectacular performances from a varying selection of artists.
ACCESS
By bike – We enourage all visitors to arrive by bike. There is plenty of space available for bicycle parking.
Via the Shuttle Buses – these drive from Noordwijkerhout to JUB Holland on:
- Wednesday 9th April from 13.00 - 17.00 hours
- Thursday 10th April from 12.00 - 17.00 hours
- Friday 11th April from 10.00 - 13.00 hours
The buses leave from the Marktplein, stopping on the way at De Brink. Parking is possible in the centre of Noordwijkerhout and at the Brink. The Brink is closed for parking and pick-up on Friday.
On foot – it is approx. a 1 km/15 minute walk from the centre of Noordwijkerhout to JUB Holland.
On Public Transport – the nearest bus stop to JUB Holland is Wildlaan Noordwijkerhout. - Services run on:
- Line 22 (Hillegom - Leiden CS)
- Line 57 (Sassenheim - Noordwijkerhout - Lisse)
- Line 90 (Sassenheim - Noordwijkerhout)

You do not have to buy a single ticket, but you can pay with a debit or credit card on the train bus and metro. Ideal for your visit to the Decoration Days of Bloemencorso Bollenstreek.
By Car – In addition to the parking in the centre of Noordwijkerhout, there is some parking is available at Sportshall De Schelf, Schelftweg 2. Walking from here to JUB Holland will then take 8 minutes over 500 m. Invalid car parking is available for badge holders at JUB Holland. Follow traffic wardens' directions on arrival.
11TH APRIL
ILLUMINATED PARADE
On Friday evening 11th April you can view the Corso in a different light. At 21:00 hrs we illuminate the floats with thousands of lamps as they drive through the charming village of Noordwijkerhout. An experience not to be missed.
13TH APRIL
FLOATS ON DISPLAY
On Sunday 13th April, the floats are on show one last time in the historical floral city of Haarlem. Use the opportunity to take perfect pictures surrounded by music and entertainment while enjoying a drink at one of the cafes. At 17:00 hrs we wave the floats a final goodbye.

ROUTE
In 2025, the Bloemencorso Bollenstreek flower parade will travel from Noordwijk to Haarlem on Saturday 12th April.
