Flower Parade Haarlem

Bloemencorso Bollenstreek is the most famous spring Flower Parade in the Netherlands. This colorful spectacle is celebrated by more than a million people during the week. The highlight being the Flower Parade Saturday, when colorful floats and luxurious cars decorated with spring flowers such as hyacints, daffodils and tulips make their way along a 42 kilometer journey from South to North Holland. Passing through towns of Noordwijk, Voorhout, Sassenheim, Lisse, Hillegom, Bennebroek, Heemstede and its final destination in the city centre of Haarlem. The Flower parade also includes cheerful and lively music from a number of different marching bands, live acts and many other entertainment activities. Did you know? The Flower Parade Haarlem enters the town late in the afternoon. Next day some floats are exposed at Haarlem central square. Plan your visit well, because it will be very crowded.

A tip might be to visit on saturday the nearby town of Hillegom. Hillegom has a dedicated market in the town centre and The grand Flower Parade will pass town in the afternoon. The parade firsts enter Hillegom at the Leidsestraat following, Boerderij St. Helena’s Hoeve, Olympiaweg, Hoofdstraat, Prinses Irenelaan, Patrimoniumstraat, Haarlemmerstraat and Winterrustlaan before heading towards Bennebroek.

Additionally, this town has a Bloemencorso Bollenstreek grandstand with extra facilities so that you can optimally enjoy the parade.

Tip! Hillegom has a special music festival ‘Vier de Lente’ where you can dance and have a great time right beside beautiful tulip fields. And speaking about beautifull tulip fields, in Hillegom is the Tulip Barn located, a lovely place for enjoying spring flowers and ample opportunities to make splendid photos,

Flower Parade 2026

The Flower Parade has a different theme each year. Last year’s theme was "Celebrating Memories" in which floats re-lived memories from the last 75 years duration of the parade. The theme for 2026 has not yet been announced. But designs for the 2026 Flower Parade will be presented at the end of February and can be seen on this page.
