Ronald de Lijzer

I am Ronald de Lijzer, 55 years old and born and bred in Lisse. Around 6 years ago I discovered that I could sing, something I have wanted to do for a long time but never plucked up enough courage to actually try.

After a talent show during the festival week at the Taveerne, where I finished in second place, I was advised to take singing lessons and gain more experience. I took this advice to heart, and now I regularly perform at parties and events. This year, I will once again take the stage on King's Day in front of the town hall in Lisse (from 14:30 to 15:30 hrs), along the route of Hollen door de Bollen on April 14.I have especially gained a lot of experience during the COVID period by frequently performing for residents in care homes across the region (from Hillegom to Rijnsburg and everywhere in between), bringing them joy with a diverse selection of live music.

Over time, a concept has developed where the audience can make a request by scanning my QR code to access a list of around 250 songs, just like an old-fashioned jukebox, but performed live. I sometimes call myself The Human Jukebox!I hope to bring joy to many people with my performance on Wednesday afternoon during the decoration days, between 16:30 and 18:00 hrs, and make it another fun and enjoyable event.

Musical greetings,
Ronald πŸŽΆπŸŽ™πŸ˜„
